Who we are:

Pete

After almost 20 years working at Acoustica, Pete has now taken over from Geoff as Captain of the Acoustica team. 

He’s spent the last two decades working with and getting to know a fantastic customer base while running the shop along with Geoff.  So although ownership of the shop has changed the shop is still retains the familiar and welcoming feel we all love. 

We know that the customers apricate the continuity of working with someone that knows their system almost as well as his own – Enter Pete!

Ross

Ross has been a customer of the shop since 2003 and is a massive fan of everything HIFI.  In particular he’s a huge Naim and B&W fan!

More than a decade ago he worked part time with Geoff and Pete in the shop before he started a property business (that he still has) with his Brother Edward.

He always remained in touch with both Geoff and Pete and when the opportunity came up to be part of the team at Acoustica he jumped at the chance.

And so he’s back in the shop as part owner of the business.

Our Aim:

At Acoustica we don’t sell just a collection of brands that we think will be popular or receive great reviews in the press.

We use our experience to select only the brands that meet our exacting requirements.  They must have great build quality, be good value for money, have fantastic support and be musical!  After all, we are all here because we love music.

We provide customers with the best listening experience possible and are recognised as one of the UK’s leading HiFi and Home Cinema dealers.  We treat every customers system as if it were our own – we care about what we do.

We advise and supply the best systems that match your needs and budget. This is supported with excellent end to end customer service from initial contact through to delivery and installation. 

From that point we continue to support you with on-going advice and upgrades as your HiFi journey develops. We treat your system as if it was our own!

Backstory:

Acoustica first opened in 1995 under the ownership of Geoff Coleman. Geoff’s motivation and enthusiasm, combined with willingness to go the extra mile on Customer Service, led to the business gaining a reputation for excellence right from the start. Acoustica has always focussed on customer service with installation and system setup being key to its performance.

Pete joined Acoustica in 2002 and has been part of the business since then. He has been key to the shops success and has formed many close friendships with customers. Customers often just call in to have a coffee and a chat and catch up; it’s that kind of shop.

In 2020, after 25 years Geoff decided it was time to hand the business over to Pete who is keeping to the same philosophy of Customer service excellence. Pete is supported by Ross, another HiFi enthusiast who has also been a customer for many years. This partnership will undoubtedly ensure the shop continues to develop into the future.

The Shop:

In our shop you will find a huge range of products on permanent display and demonstration.  Each one is hand-picked because it is in our opinion the best of the best. 

We also have a comfortable demo room. It is configured to allow customers to appreciate the full performance of the products they listen to.  Setup is often key in any system and going that extra mile brings huge dividends
